• Image of BZ Reaction Infinity Scarf

This scarf's design is based on the Belousov–Zhabotinsky reaction, which is a family of oscillating chemical reactions. The phenomena can be created using a mixture of sodium bromate, malonic acid, sulphuric acid, and ferroin. "The oscillations start with the formation in a red solution of small blue dots that expand into ever-widening concentric blue rings. Sometimes these will become expanding Archimedean spirals; the patterns intermix and become increasingly complex towards the end of the reaction." (explanation by Tabletop Experiments).

Whether you love chemistry or just appreciate the mesmerizing quality of this pattern, this scarf will make a unique accessory.

Our infinity scarves are made with soft 100% organic cotton jersey. They can be worn loosely around the neck or looped around twice.
